Terms of use

Last updated: 28 October 2026

These terms apply to anni.run, the hosted anni editor, and to everything your coding agent sends to it. By setting anni up to use anni.run or by using it, you agree to them. If you don't agree, don't use anni.run – local mode and self-hosting are always open to you (see below).

In good faith

anni.run is a free tool, made to solve one problem: getting animations right without describing them in words, over and over. It is offered in good faith and as goodwill – there is no fee, no paid contract and no claim to the service. Decisions about it – limits, what counts as fair use, which sessions stay, what changes – are made at the operator's discretion, in that same spirit. In return, please use it the way it is meant: for your own projects, with care for everyone else using it. If something goes wrong or seems unfair, say so on GitHub – it will be looked at.

1. What anni.run is

anni.run is a free editor for the CSS animations and values in your own projects. Your coding agent opens files from your project in a session on anni.run; you tune them on a timeline and the agent writes the result back. There are no accounts: whoever opens a session holds its owner token.

2. Your content

3. Storage and deletion

4. Fair use

Don't use anni.run to:

Sessions that break these rules may be deleted and access may be blocked, without notice.

5. The service

anni.run is free and provided as it is, without any promise that it is always available, free of errors or suited to a particular purpose. Features can change, and the service can be paused or ended at any time.

6. Liability

As far as the law allows, there is no liability for damage or loss from using anni.run, including lost work or data. This does not limit liability for intent or gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, or where the law makes liability mandatory.

7. Open source, local mode and self-hosting

anni's code is open source under the MIT license on GitHub. These terms cover the hosted service at anni.run. Local mode (anni-mcp-local) runs only on your machine, and instances you host yourself are yours – anni.run is not involved in either.

8. Changes

These terms may change. The date at the top shows the current version; using anni.run after a change means you accept it.

9. Contact

anni is made by Moritz Wallbrecher at syntwin. For questions or to report abuse, open an issue on GitHub.
